As Christmas draws near, people in Ickleford and surrounding areas are being offered a special seasonal way to remember those they’ve lost.
V R Jennings Funeral Service in Arlesey Road, Ickleford is providing a memorial Christmas tree and inviting local people to call in and decorate it with memorial cards in memory of those close to them who have died.
If they wish, families may also leave a small donation to St Katharine’s Church Building Appeal.
Shane Illsley, manager at V R Jennings Funeral Service explained: “This is the 6th year we have offered a memorial tree in honour of those who have died, as we have found it to be a comfort for relatives and friends.
“We know that the festive season, in particular, can be an extremely painful time for the bereaved we hope our memorial Christmas tree will again benefit the families concerned at this difficult time,” he continued.
The V R Jenningsfuneral home is open from 10:00am until 4:00pm and people will be able to leave memorial cards on the tree right up until 31st of December.
